Sometimes all it takes is some wise words to become inspired. If you’re looking for some motivation, or maybe a fresh perspective, keep reading!
We’ve gathered seven quotes that help keep us inspired. We hope they do the same for you!
We all make goals. They may seem small — like going to bed earlier each night — or big — like running a marathon or writing a book. No matter where your goal falls on this spectrum, it’s important to make a plan and put it into action. Otherwise, you’re just wishing on a star.
Your dreams don’t work unless you do. Similar to the first quote, if you want to see change — then changed you’ll have to be. What do you need to change to make your goals a reality? If your goal is getting to bed earlier, maybe the change needs to be less TV, eating dinner earlier, or no coffee in the afternoon.
You don’t need to see the whole staircase to take the first step. If your goal is to run a marathon, and you’ve hardly run a day in your life, you will likely have to start small. Maybe just a walk around the block every morning. Or buying running shoes. Either way, you need to begin somewhere. If it makes you feel better, anyone who has ever achieved something great had to start small as well.
Absolutely everything is progress. Everything you do progresses you toward something. Reading progresses you to a healthier brain and perhaps a different outlook on life. Poor eating habits progresses you to unhealthiness. What do you want to be progressing towards?
Bit by bit, you can reach a goal or create the life you want. Ten push-ups a day may not seem like much, but it will have a positive impact on the health of your muscles. Taking supplements every day helps you maintain good health. And if you want to write a book, writing a page a day gives you a 365 page book at the end of the year!
This is similar to the previous quote, but offers a different perspective. If you look at the road to your goal as a step-by-step journey, all you need to do is coach yourself through each step. One by one.
When setting goals, it’s also important to remember what you already have. Being grateful for what you have — the big things and the small things — can help keep you feeling happy and at ease. It’s completely normal to set your sights on new goals and achievements, but pat yourself on the back for what you’ve already done and what you’ve already attained.
Being grateful has also been shown to improve physical and psychological health!
